Federation Queen Anne Renovation – 2023
Private Residence
In 2023, I was engaged by the owners of a classic Federation Queen Anne style home to renovate the original section of the residence, comprising three bedrooms, a study, a small TV room, and an enclosed verandah.
Our team approached this project with a strong emphasis on space planning, colour design, and interior design, ensuring every decision honoured the home’s architectural heritage while introducing a contemporary sensibility.
We chose a warm, inviting colour palette to enhance the traditional features of the home, thoughtfully balanced by cooler tones introduced through soft furnishings and accessories. The overall effect is both harmonious and layered, creating a sense of elegance without compromising comfort.

Art played a central role in this project. While the clients already had a rich collection, they remained open to new possibilities. We collaborated to introduce two significant new works, carefully chosen to enhance the updated interior palette and tie the spaces together visually and emotionally.
Despite its formal architectural style, this home now feels effortlessly welcoming. It’s a space that embraces both history and modernity—a true pleasure to experience.
