The west side of this period bungalow, located in the leafy suburb of Turramurra, was extended out to create room for a brand new kitchen and laundry. Our clients’ brief was pretty straight forward – they wanted to retain the character of the house and restore the original features where possible. They were after a traditional kitchen with shaker style cabinets, a central island bench and a table big enough to seat 8.
A new kitchen started to take shape on paper. New bi-fold doors and windows were included in the new layout to give the space the much needed element of light. The colour palette was kept neutral with white joinery and light grey walls. A beautiful Australian marble was selected by our clients for the benchtop and splashback. The result is very pleasing both aesthetically and functionally.
