St. Denis

Located on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, St. Denis is a beautiful period residence that was thoughtfully extended to accommodate the needs of a growing family. The west side of the home was reimagined to include a brand new kitchen and laundry, designed with equal focus on everyday family life and entertaining.
We were engaged to create a space that would feel functional, timeless, and deeply connected to the home’s original architecture.

The client’s vision centred on a classic kitchen—complete with shaker-style cabinetry, a central island, and a dining table large enough to seat eight. The design process began with a carefully sketched concept, evolving into a layout that now serves as the heart of the home.
The neutral colour palette was deliberately chosen to enhance and respect the surrounding period details, allowing the architectural beauty to take centre stage. A standout material selection includes Australian marble, used for both the benchtop and splashback—personally chosen by the clients for its natural elegance and longevity.
This project is a testament to the strength of client-designer collaboration, resulting in a space that feels considered, connected, and effortlessly suited to modern family living within a historic framework.
